About Us
History
The Trinity Camerata was born in 2010, having played since 2004 as the Buckingham Chamber Orchestra. At that time we decided to move from Buckingham to Bicester, where we have been warmly welcomed by the town and in particular the community of St. Edburg's.
Supporting local music-making
As with all orchestras of our type, finances are very tight and we rely on the goodwill of our regular players (none of whom receive a fee) and loyal supporters to be able to continue to produce regular, high quality, concerts. For every concert we have fixed overheads, which include venue hire, music hire, and conductor, soloist and leader fees.
Hiring the orchestra
We are able to provide musicians (either the whole orchestra, or a smaller chamber group) for third parties (such as choral societies), and the income and publicity generated by these activities is very important to us.
Local businesses
We would love to hear from any local businesses keen to support good music-making. You can either advertise in our concert programmes, arrange for a regular supply of tickets, help publicise our concerts, or simply support the orchestra!
Music teachers and students
We are very keen to support young local musicians, who are our future. If you are a music teacher and would like your students to listen to a rehearsal, please contact us - they will be most welcome.
Our audience
Our most important source of income is our audience, and we encourage anyone who has been to one of our concerts to tell their friends.
