Chloe Rooke
Britten Pears Young Artists 2020 and Highly Commended in the ‘Young Star’ category of the 2017 Women of the Future Awards, Chloe has rapidly gained a reputation for inspiring leadership and innovative performances across symphonic and operatic repertoire. She is currently studying with Sian Edwards for an MA in Orchestral Conducting at the Royal Academy of Music, where she is recipient of the Ernest Read Conducting Prize and holds an entrance scholarship.
Chloe has conducted orchestras across the UK and abroad in masterclass and performance settings, including the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra, Noord Nederlands Orkest, Britten-Pears Orchestra, Street Orchestra Live, the New Mozart Orchestra, and the Oxford Sinfonia. In opera, Chloe has conducted performances of Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress and Renard, Handel’s Acis and Galatea and The Choice of Hercules, and Walton's The Bear; (New Chamber Opera) and assisted on productions including Rossini’s La Cenerentola (BYO/Southbank Sinfonia) and Paisello’s The Barber of Seville.
