Nancy Taylor

Nancy is our string leader. She studied violin at the Royal College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Following two years playing in Portugal’s Orquestra do Norte, Nancy returned to the UK where she toured with Moscow City Ballet and the stage show Barnum. Her love of theatre led her to perform in Fiddler on the Roof, A Tale of Two Cities, and as solo violin for the West End production of I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change! She then spent 12 years touring the UK with the Carl Rosa Opera Orchestra as leader. In more recent years, Nancy has enjoyed a busy and. varied freelance career, her recent highlights being Oliver! at Grange Park, Scrooge at The Curve Leicester, and playing with the band at Scarborough Spa during a summer season.

Nancy combines her playing with a busy family life with three children, and currently teaches in Northamptonshire.
